Prosciutto Pasta Casserole

  • DSCN00134 oz. naturally dried aged cubed prosciutto
  • 1/2 box of 15 oz. farfalle noodle
  • 24 oz.spaghetti sauce
  • 1/2 of 15 oz. ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  1. pan fry prosciutto with a little olive oil until browned
  2. set prosciutto on paper plate and dab with paper towels to get excess grease off of it
  3. put prosciutto in a bowl and mix in ricotta cheese
  4. pour 1/3 of the spaghetti sauce in a casserole pan and spread a thin layer to cover the bottom of it
  5. boil water and cook noodles until el dente
  6. when noodles are done put 1/3 of them on top of the spaghetti sauce
  7. spread thin layer of prosciutto and ricotta cheese mixture on top of noodles
  8. sprinkle a layer of mozzarella cheese on top
  9. repeat layering starting with the spaghetti sauce
  10. finish the layers with noodles and some spaghetti sauce
  11. cook in 350 degree oven for approx. thirty minutes
  12. add final layer of mozzarella and let cook for five more minutes
