Ghost Lollipops

Ghost lollipops are an easy treat to make for your Halloween party.

What you will need.

  1. cookie sheet
  2. wax paper
  3. lollipop sticks (can find at craft store)
  4. white chocolate chips
  5. chocolate chips
  6. Halloween semi sweet chocolate and orange colored chips
  7. tall glasses
  8. two pots one larger than the other
  9. soup spoon

Put two cookie sheets on the counter close to the stove. Line sheets with wax paper. Put lollipop sticks on each cookie sheet spaced apart about two inches across from each other. Leave about four inches from the bottom of the sticks to the top of the next row of sticks. Fill the smaller pot with water about half full. Put the larger pot on top of it. Fill top pot with white chocolate chips. Boil the water gently and the steam will rise up and cause the chips to melt. Continuously stir until all chips are melted. Turn heat down slightly on the boiling water. Take a soup spoon and fill it with melted chocolate. Using your spoon smear melted candy onto lollipop stick. Working quickly create ghost shape with your spoon making sure to get plenty of melted candy onto the stick. Make two ghosts then add the eyes, chocolate chips, to each ghost. Stir the melted chocolate again to avoid burning it. Then repeat and make two more ghosts, then stir the candy again.

This recipe works well with children who are old enough to be in charge of stirring the chocolate as you continue making ghosts. Another child could be in charge of making the eyes.

Once all the ghosts are done put into refrigerator to cool and harden. Take the clear tall glasses and fill with semi sweet orange and chocolate chips about halfway. Once candy is hardened then put lollipops into the glass for festive display.
