According to their website, Company 7 BBQ was founded by a local family of firefighters. They believed customers enjoy a slow smoked barbecue served in a warm and friendly environment. The restaurant has fire awards and memorabilia they have collected over the past 25 years. They have a variety of barbecue sandwiches, platters, appetizers, and desserts. The bar has an old firetruck which adds to the atmosphere. They have cocktails, 12 brands of Bourbon, and 5 brands of Rye’s & Whiskeys. I recommend the hot shot with a brisket on top of garlic red skin mashed potatoes and gravy. The meat was tender and the gravy was the perfect topping. There are plenty of side choices for your platter. They include baked potato, coleslaw, garlic redskin mashed potatoes with brown or white turkey gravy, applesauce, green beans, and a side salad. Premium sides include mac and cheese, sweet potato casserole, and baked beans. There are numerous sauces to put on your meat. The Rookie is a mild flavorful BBQ sauce, The Firefighter Sweet is a sweet, Memphis-style sauce. The Lieutenant Tangy is a thick Kansas City BBQ sauce. The Captain Carolina is a real treat of vinegar & mustard. The Chief Smokey is a smoky flavored BBQ sauce. The Commissioner Burns is a Texas-style hot sauce. I recommend the Peanut Butter Pie, a creamy pie with a graham cracker crust.
